Step 1

Understand What The Recital Is So That You Feel Comfortable

An event such as the recital is often a ‘first’ for many families and their young dancer.  Our recital is a celebration, not a competition. We want everyone feeling comfortable, confident and excited! Dance To EvOLvE has specialized in this age group for over 12-years. We create a fun, inviting, age-appropriate and non-intimidating recital day for our dancers and families to remember.

When the costume is delivered in class in May, it will include a costume letter that will explain all the details you need. Including: costume care and instructions, hair & make-up tips, safety procedures and show times.

Please note that dancers must be registered through the entire Spring semester to participate in the recital.

Tip:  Be flexible and plan sleeping and meal times accordingly so we get the best out of our dancers. (Remember that class moms will have snacks.)

Step 2

Register For Recital By Ordering Your Dancer's Costume

All dancers enrolled in a class are automatically enrolled in the recital and the costume fee will be processed on March 16th with the payment information that we have on file. Confirm your dancer’s participation in the recital with your signature on the costume sizing sheet in class during costume sizing week with your teacher (March 2 – March 7).  If your dancer is unable to participate in the recital, please opt-out on the costume sizing sheet in class during costume sizing week with your teacher (Feb. 24 – Feb. 29).* Costumes are chosen by the EvOLvE team based on age, appropriateness, cuteness, availability of styles/sizes and budget.

When the costume is delivered in class in May, it will include a costume letter that will explain all the details you need. Including: costume care and instructions, hair & make-up tips, safety procedures and show times.

Step 4

Participate & Register For The Family Dance

We promise that it will be easy, fun & non-intimidating…so don’t be shy! This is a very special bonding opportunity for you and your dancer. Parents, grandparents, older siblings…whomever your dancer’s favorite dance partner is. This is a time to create memories that your dancer will never forget! There’s no long term commitment as we only do ONE rehearsal (and give a at home practice video).

The family dance will be first in the show, so our adult participants will dance first, then join the audience, sit back & enjoy the rest of the recital. (Participation includes your entrance to the recital). Dancers will join their class backstage after the family dance and where they will be under the care of our trained volunteers.

Cost: $40 for parent and dancer to participate to cover rehearsal costs & fees. Free admission to show ($16 savings).
Costume: No costume fee as you can create your costume from your closet
